What is it?Put simply, it is a modern version of the baby book which we all love. Think of us as a virtual scrapbook that allows you and your friends & family to contribute to just by sending an email. These memories are then intelligently converted into a beautiful hardcover book which can be delivered (naturally) straight to your door.
It's an effortless, but powerful way to convert the magical moments and photos into a stunning book that your baby will love forever.
How does it work?
Each book contains up to 200 pages. All you (or your family & friends) do is email in your thoughts, memories and photos. Each of these forms it's own page to make the book comfortable to read. Books are then processed and published automatically to Lulu.com free of charge, from whom you can order as many copies of your baby book as you like.
Although we recommend sending in photos at their highest possible quality (i.e. straight from your camera), your pictures will be handled intelligently and shown in the best possible format for their size and shape.
What's the point?
By the fact you're reading this, you probably know already how powerful the Internet can be. We think this tool empowers you to create an incredible gift for your baby. How would you feel if you were handed over a life time's worth of memories of your growing up, contributed to by your whole family?
Who's behind it?
Before I Grew Up was conceived by Ben Barnett, a website developer active in London. The tool was produced after watching the new members of the family grow up, doing some amazing things that he felt should not be forgotten, and more so, that the youngsters should have a pleasant way to remember the things they got up to. Ben also runs Brushfire Design, a cutting-edge online production agency.
